PJ's Lodge was designed, built and successfully operated by the founders for over 20 years. The Lodge is located on over 32 acres of pasture land and hilly wooded property bordered by the famous White River and the Ozark National Forest. About 25 acres is fenced and maintained as ranch property. The remaining six acres includes the 5,400-square-foot lodge, equestrian barns, and stables. Through the years, PJ’s Lodge has earned a reputation as one of the finest resorts in not only Arkansas but also in North America. Here are just a few examples of some of the recognition the Lodge has received:

  • Southern Living, June 1998: The author wrote “If the atmosphere of P.J.’s is clothed in one quality, it is comfort, comfort without pretense. The lodge’s solitude is embraced rather than enforced.
  • Willow Creek Guides: Named PJ’s Lodge as one of the top 250 fishing lodges in North America including Central America and Canada. Of the lodges reviewed in the book (first published in 2000), they recognized only three lodges in the state -- Anderson House Inn, Gaston’s White River Resort and PJ’s Lodge.
  • Sports Afield: Chose PJ’s Lodge as one of the top 12 fishing lodges in the United States in a 2001 article.
